Traditional textile from Makasar has taken a modern approach of making it looking very on trend and edgy lightweight blouse/coat
What I wore: Tenun Makasar silk blouse by Yani Soemali, White t-shirt by H&M, Jeans by Levis, T’Jours bag by Fendi, black leather wedge by Vince Camuto, Earl Grey watch by Hublot, rose ring by Swarovski, Laser cut Gold cuff bought in Grand Bazaar Turkey
I think it is no secret anymore that I love to wear clothes designed by my favourite designer Yani Soemali. She designs easy to wear outfits using the best Indonesian traditional fabric like Batik and Tenun. If I go on a trip abroad, I would easily take her jackets and wear them with jeans or basic black pants. In these pictures, I am wearing a woven Makasar silk that is constructed into a light, edgy looking coat. I think this long airy coat is very versatile, you can wear it with jeans, or even you can take your favourite kain or wear it alone like a dress. I think the colours are just so vibrant and alive and yes, it happened to match with my FENDI bag. Love Love Love everything that she made and designed. I only not love the clothes she designs but I love her as a person. She is like a big sister to me, I really look up to her. She is super talented, down to earth, and not to me mention a sophisticated and beautiful lady inside and out. Proud of you mba Yani…you are an inspiration to us all. Check out how pretty she is here….
