I first met Tasya thru my good friend Lisa Soemarto. She is a designer who is really great in translating what you like and she will give it her signature mix with your personal style. The first time I came to her was when I asked her to help me design my first Balinese woven cloth into a short jacket. Every time I wear that jacket I will always get a huge compliment from a lot of people. Next time I will wear that jacket and blog about it. Love her design and impeccable craftsmanship. This time I am wearing her ready to wear design, a beautiful batik dress. It feels feminine with black and brown silk batik and she added the soft draperies on the sides and small beads on the shoulder. The batik is a translation of modern “Kawung” design, it was done in a graphical and modern way, giving the masculinity to the dress. I love that this dress is not really a formal one that you can use it to the office but definitely you can go to a dinner or cocktail party afterwards.
What I wore: Black silk batik dress by Ascobat Reza, Black python printed lock cuff by Ann Taylor, Grey Stamped croc Trapeze bag by Celine, Gold coin vintage ring, Black studded belt by Ted Baker, Black strappy shoes by BCBG. Thank you to Crista for taking the great photos.
Carrying Grey stamped croc Celine trapeze from Fall 2012.
The side draperies of this dress added the feminine touch.
